A tired Friday

Last night I did not sleep well, which resulted in a tired and some what grumpy Chanel. I had my 8am lab, in which we had to find radio collars in the woods with transmitters, and it was so hard and frustrating and it took us like 3 hours, and all I learned is that I dont like radio telemetry, and I hope to never have to use it for research. After my lab I had To give my Social Geography seminar with my partner on Globalization and it went well, and i am super glad that is now over. After class, I had lunch and watched weeds with Katie and then we went down to Liz's because we are Cat sitting, we stayed there for a few hours doing homework and I drank hot chocolate and such. Once back in res, we watched more weeds and hung out and Kris came over and brought slurpees and we all watched weeds and then we started to play never have I ever, and truth or dare, it is quite fun. I think I will be having an early night though as I am quite tired. Night!

Class at 930
Lab at 1030- planted 500 seeds in my plant Eco lab, it took us until 1230 or so to set up out experiment,
I went to the library, took photos of my readings rather than doing them
Met up with my geo seminar partner, we talked about the seminar and worked on a worksheet

At 3, but actually 330, I met up with Erin and Russ to learn what I would be doing in terms
Of helping out with their research, I get to sort through birds nest looking for maggots and pupae and fleas, should be an interesting experience.

After that, I worked on homework and had dinner, and hung out with Katie until 7 when we went down to the moose. We had moose fries, and hung out with kris, Fabris, Ryan, Adam and Ryan and Adams roommate Jamie (I think)
It was lots of fun and lots of laughs!!!

Now I am watching weeds with Katie and kris and I plan on finishing the episode and then shower and then bed.

Getting it done early

So, I have some time, and I dont want to be productive, so I will do this now. My day today was alright, I stayed in bed till just before 8, and then had breakfast and took the on-call phone for Katie as she had an early class. At around 8:30 I took the phone to the housing office and I went to go talk with Jenn about some programming stuff, I am having a planet earth Movie Night next Tuesday, where we will watch planet earth and then hopefully discuss conservation issues, or at least that is the plan, I don't know how many people will show, but I hope not too many as I am having the event in mine and Katie's room, which will fill up fast, so hopefully if many people come they will not mind getting cozy. After chatting with Jenn and such I went back to my room and worked on my to-do list for the day, and as I was doing so a note got slipped under our door, and it informed us that there was a mouse/shrew running about on the first floor, going in and out of rooms, when Katie got back from class I told her what was up and she was not impressed. We both went to leave, me to go to class, and Katie to go inform the housing office about the mouse and as Katie opened the door she screamed, jumped back into the room and somewhat demolished our little shelf, at this time I burst out laughing and opened the door to find the tiny little mouse/shrew on the floor and it scurried into the housing office. I laughed all the way down to the school, Katie was not pleased. I found out later that the mouse was caught on sticky paper and was sadly killed :( *Moment of silence for cute baby mouse/shrew* My classes today went okay, though by the time I got to my pop and com class I was tired, like closing my eyes in the lecture tired, but I pushed through. I went back up to res, and got my posters approved, and picked up the on call phone as I am on call today, yaya! Katie and I hung out for a bit and then she helped me distribute my pamphlets to Neyoh, I will do Keyoh later, I also put up my posters in Neyoh, Keyoh will be done later. We hung out and had dinner, and I got a call about a plugged toilet, which I assumed they were able to fix by plunging it, as I did not hear back from them. I had Taco salad for dinner, and Katie and I watched an episode of weeds, and we made snacks for the floor meeting that Katie was hosting at 7, she made popcorn. While this was occurring Liz and Jeremy showed up to drop off the keys to their place as they are heading home to the lowermainland, they were supposed to be going down this weekend, but sadly Liz's dad had a stroke last night, so they left today so she can be there for her family, I am sending out good vibes, and I hope they have a safe drive down to the lowermainland. Katie and I had the floor meeting and it went well, at around 9 I am going to go to early rounds, and then I am heading up to Keyoh to distribute pamphlet and to put up posters, and then at 9:30 there is the res council meeting so I might as well go to that. The rest of my night after that will hopefully be spent studying for my geography of Canada Quiz that I have in a week, until I do rounds at 11 with Susan, and then I can go to bed, which I am looking forward to. On another note, I forgot to mention that yesterday I must have danced a little to hard at groove as my back is killing me, I think I made have gotten to into the chest pops or something, I hope it feels better tomorrow as it is rather uncomfortable. Anyways I guess that is all there is to say thus far. I hope the rest of my night is quiet. Night!

A more productve day

Today was a more productive than the past little while. I had 3 hours of class from 8:30-11:30, and the it was up to res, to get changed to go to the gym with Elaine, we went to a Groove class, and it was so much fun. It was basically a free for all dance your butt off like a fool class. It was so much fun, we plan on going next week too :D After that we hit up the farmers market for some indian food and to buy salsa and veggies etc, I went up to the housing office, so i could pick up the on call phone for Katie, and to also copy my study survival pamphlets to distribute, it took quite awhile to copy and fold the 133 of them, but I did it, and they are done and look nice and colourful. After that, I went back to my room and hung out with Liz and managed to get a wildlife eco assignment done. I dont know if it is right, but it's done and it's not even due for a week :) Go Me! At 3pm, ERICA called me and we had a very nice chat, and we caught up on life. Things are going well for her. School is good, the boy Allan is good, all in all things seem to be awesome, and I am very Happy for her and also a bit Jealous, but thats okay. I really enjoyed our chat, and I hope we have one again in the nearish future. After that I tried to work on my Society and Space Seminar on Globalization, and that just didnt go awesome, I find it so hard to sit down and just knock it out, I lack the interest and the motivation to do so, but I need to get my ass in gear as I have to give the seminar on Friday, it doesnt help that the guy I am working with has a very different schedule than mine which makes it hard to get together to work things out. I hope it goes okay. I also managed to make a poster for a planet earth movie night that I will be having next week, where we can watch planet earth and eat snacks and then hopefully talk about conservation issues. Kris ended up coming over and him and Katie had what I will call a small disagreement which was a bit awkward for me, luckily I was having a nice Chat with Danny via Facebook, which was able to distract me from the awkward. I am very glad Danny and I remained friends even after breaking up, he's such a nice guy. The last part of my evening has been spent watching weeds with Katie and Kris and pretending to be productive. Weeds is turning out to be quite a good show. I do plan on going to bed early tonight as I have the opportunity and I am super tired and I need some sleep. Night!

Productivity= low, Life also = low

I didnt sleep super well last night, I stayed up too late not being productive and was then up at 7:30 this morning, as a result I had a slow morning, very slow, like half speed kind of slow. I eventually completed my morning routine in far from record time, and headed down to the school for 9, as I was meeting Kurt so we could go meet up with Doug and John in the greenhouse to discuss our plant Ecology experiment. The meeting went well, we found out what we needed to know and were able to refine our experiment a little further, which is good as the proposal is due tomorrow and we start planting on Thursday. After that I headed to my Geography of Canada class, and today we had to turn in an interesting map of Canada, I found one made out of the license plates from the different provinces, I thought it was rather neat. The lecture was okay, but it was a bit rushed which is unfortunate when you are trying to take notes. After that was over I had my Society and Space lecture and we were talking about sex, sexuality and space and gay space, which proved to be an interesting topic for me, and it may be a good idea for me to do that for my term paper, though we will see. After that I had a 30 minute break between my classes, which I spent in my class room, eating lunch and copying over the notes from the previous class on to the printed out notes as I cant easily print the notes before the lecture, and thus transfer things over after. My Pop and Com class was so so, I still find it hard to focus on the material, especially for an hour and 20minutes. After class Elaine and I Edited out Plant Ecology proposal and printed it off, which was a nice feeling. Then I went back to res and Katie and I went on a mini-adventure to get ink, and cold medicine for courtenay and to get trail mix from shoppers wholesale. After that I tried to be productive, and it didnt go well. I printed things off, tried to do some reading, but found myself to be sulking a bit, and whining to Kristy via text about life. Today was supposed to be the start of the new, but apparently it was the fall back into the hole of procrastination and no motivation, but tomorrow is another day. All I have left for today is the RA meeting at 9:30 and I hope that it doesnt go till 11 like last week, as I am sleepy. Night!

Could cut the tension with a knife

Today was an interesting day. My morning was spent cooking pancakes and bacon, as Katie and I were hosting a floor breakfast from 10-12, We cooked soo much food, we thought it would never go away, but eventually we ended up having to make more pancakes as the first round of them ran out, we also ran out of bacon. It was a decent morning, watched cartoons, chatted with residents, ate pancakes with whipped cream and berry sauce and it was so yummy, I had even got up early to make some pancakes from scratch so I could actually enjoy them We did breakfast until 1ish, and then I showered and tried to be productive, but I was not very successful. Also boys are stupid. (all I'm saying) The rest of the afternoon was not eventful, but at 7, Katie and I had a roommate mediation, and it was super uncomfortable, you could cut the tension with a knife, I actually got a tension headache. Liz was nice enough and brought us starbucks, which was a nice treat. I further back up my earlier statement that boys are stupid, so very stupid. I need some rest, soon I will go to bed, I'm tired, and stressed and tense and lonesome, wah :( Night!

Kept thinking it was sunday. Its not

I managed to stay in bed this morning until 9:30, which was a nice feeling. I had breakfast and watched tv, and then I started to be productive.

I got some work done, I was actually quite productive up until about 3, then my productivity died down :(

Katie and kris came up and we went to the grocery store so Katie and I could get stuff for the breakfast that we are doing tomorrow morning for our floor

The rest of my day was not super eventful
We hooked up net flix, and thus movies have been playing all day
I worked on my plant competition proposal with Elaine and Kurt, Hayden was supposed to be there but turns out he is in Vancouver until Tuesday when the proposal is due.
I spent some time as the fifth wheel as Katie and kris were here along with Katie's sister Elsa and her boyfriend Joey, I felt kid of lonely :( poor Chanel
I also missed out on playing settlers as I was working on the proposal when they started so I couldn't join in, oh well, there will be more games


I don't think it will be a late night, I have some dishes to do and some things to organize and then I can hit the hay so I can be wide awake for the floor breakfast tomorrow morning
