Friday, wooo

Today was an okay day,
This morning I had my lab at 8am, it was an interesting lab, we learned about how to immobilize animals, and I got the opportunity to to shoot a 32caliber shot gun, that shot darts. It was neat, and a rather cool experience.

After my lab I had my society and space seminar which went well, it was a nice way to end my school day. When I got home I was sadden that Katie was not home. I found out that she was down at Liz's playing stuff like Mario kart, so I quickly caught the next bus down, and we all hung out and played settlers, I almost won, but kris pulled ahead ad ended up winning

We went back up to res because Katie was on call and ha to be back by 4. Once back at re we watched movies including mulan, which we all sung along to.

Katie has been having a rough night on call, sad :(

I have even having a rather dull evening, and hopefully my weekend with be productive.

oh where oh where had my productivity gone, oh where oh where can it be?

I was up at 8am this morning, had breakfast, took a shower, thought about being productive, but wasnt, just after 10, I went down to the school to pick up a list of awards that were still able to be applied for through awards and financial aid, and then I went off to my plant Ecology Class, which was rather dull as per usual, I really feel as though I am not learning anything in that class :( After the class, we had out plant Eco lab, which involved us going outside and surveying a 30mX30m plot and IDing all the plant species in the area and estimating plant composition, it was very time consuming and not all that interesting. Near the end of the lab is started to rain and lucky for us we were just finishing up so we were able to head inside. After my lab I was super hungry, and headed up to res to make something to eat, on my way up I discovered that I had a package to pick up so it was back down to the school to pick it up. Turns out it was Katie's Halloween Costume. After bring the package up, and finally making it into my room, I had an odd combination of things for lunch and started to work on my pop and com assignment. I managed to answer all the questions, whether or not any of the answers are right...I have no idea, but they all have answers, and hopefully thins weekend Elaine and I will be able to go over the questions, because two heads are better than one. After that I didnt accomplish much, I made dinner, and sat around, Katie and I chatted and hung out with some guys on our floor. People are playing spoons, so things are getting a bit intense, people keep coming by trying to find out who has who and to get ideas as to how they can "kill" who they need to "kill" I have a feeling the rest of my night is shot, I'm just not feeling it, and I am starting to realize that I need more friends, I feel like I'm always alone :( Even though I'm not always alone, I guess I just miss having lots of people to talk to, I suppose I might get used to it. Productivity, Please Come back to me...please.... Night!

Some sad new today

The sad news did not occur until the evening, so first I should summarize the rest of my day. I was up at 6, because I had meeting at 7 for the Panama Field School, the meeting went well. It looks as though it will cost us less than $2000 to go, which is awesome and I am very excited. After the meeting I spent some time studying for my geo of Canada quiz, which was at 10. Sadly my studying did not help me, The Quiz had several questions relating to the readings....which I did not do.... oops. Good thing it was only worth 10% and now I know for next time that I should do the readings. After that class, which was rather depressing, and writing that reminded me to email my profs about the lectures, My Social geography went well, and lucky for me it was my last class of the day as Pop & Com had been cancelled. After class I had lunch and started laundry, and such. I also handed in my programming sheets to Jenn, and did more laundry including sheets and towels, that was productive. At 4, I helped out at the peace week BBQ as a grill master :) It was fun, I feel like I still smell like meat After the BBQ Kris was over visiting and doing homework, later on liz and Jeremy came over and this is where the sad news comes in. Liz and Jeremy had been in the lowermainland the last few days and Liz's dad was not doing well, and they came back today and Liz informed us that she would be finishing up the semester and then moving back home to help out etc. It was a sad moment Katie Cried lots (*This may or may not have actually happened) And Liz almost cried, but kept it together... Anyways I'm sleepy and a bit sad so I think I should just crawl into my bed and sleep Night!

My First RA Event

This morning I was up at 7, and still tired, I got ready and went up to Becky's to buy a good food box before it was too late. Then I went off to my Pop and Comm Tutorial, which was okay, followed by my wildlife Ecology class which was interesting, Followed by my Plant Ecology class which was rather dull, I still dont think I have learned anything in that class. After my classes I went up to res to get ready for the Groove class at 12, I went with Elaine again and had a lot of fun, it's a good fun workout. After that I had lunch, took a shower and tried to study for my geography of Canada Quiz, but I felt too tired to study, as horrible as that may be, I was just not productive, I ended up just laying about. At 5:45 I started preparing snacks for my First RA event which was a Planet Earth Movie Night

I made chicken nuggets, bagel bites, mozzarella sticks and there were chips and gummy worms. Just before 6:30 the first person arrived, and two more came at about 6:30, we waited a few minutes to see if anyone else was going to show up, and when no one did we started watching the planet earth episode about snow leopards, and about half way through two more people came, bring up the total to 5, which was not a great success, but it was fun I guess. Hopefully next time I will get a better turn out. My plan for the night now is to go to bed early because I have a meeting at 7am, and then I have a geography of Canada quiz at 10, which I have not been studying for. Night!

Super Sleepy Chanel

I have been so tired all day today, and it is rather annoying. I had my first class at 10, and that was okay, though I am starting to real discover that I dont like the lecturing style of my geography of Canada prof, I find it hard to follow his thought process, and to take notes on what he is saying etc. My Social Geography went well, I like how my prof for that class lectures, but he is the famous Jim Windsor, who has quite the reputation of being a cool prof I grabbed and sandwich to eat before my next class because I was sleepy and I was hoping the food would help keep me awake. My Pop and Comm class was rough, I was struggling to stay awake, and struggling even to remain even the slightest bit focused. After class, I was glad to be done and I went back to res and actually managed to be focused for a bit and worked on my Pop and Comm Assignment, and got a fair bit of it done. At about 5, Katie and I went to go feed Katniss and then we went out for all you can eat sushi, and we both ate way too much, I still feel stuffed. After that I was not productive, I lounged about waiting for the RA meeting and soon it was 9:30 and time for the meeting and it ran a little over an hour, and I am super duper tired and my muscles are very sore, and I am going to attribute my sore muscles to the fact that I am very very tired, my muscles better not be sore tomorrow because I will be going to groove with Elaine at 12. Tomorrow night is also my first active event as an RA, I'm doing a planet earth Movie night, with the hopes that some people will be up for some conversation after, and if not at least I get to listen to the great Sir David Attenbourough talk about snow Leopards Anyways I think I need to hit the hay, I'm super duper tired Night!

Rest of the day was less productive.

Went on a date with a boy named Brandon, and it was nice, we had Thai food and then we hung out and watched a few movies, lost track of time this why I am writing so late.

Need to get some sleep


Night!

A dull day

This morning I was out of bed by 930 and on the couch in my pjs watching the perfect man on tv when all of a sudden I see Jenn and Fabris walking down from keyoh and they wave at me and flail and long story short eventually I ended up outside helping with the "tailgate" party that I had no real intention of helping out at.
It was supposed to go from 10:30-11:30, but no one really showed up till 11 and people were more interested in the free food than anything else, but I guess it was kind of fun, but I did waste my most productive time of the day which was unfortunate.

I showered and then my dad called me and we had a nice chat and we discussed my term paper that I will be writing on gay space and he gave me some good ideas and I think it will go well.

I did some other small amounts of homework, little things here and there, but the majority of my day was not productive, I did paint my nails as I also hung out with a guy named Brandon, who was nice.

My evening was spent watching weeds along with Katie and kris trying to construct a foam suit, which was very amusing.

Also there were just two people making out on the grass hill outside our room, basically directly outside my window and kris opened the widow and told him to go to second base to which he smiled and then shortly after the pair got up and left. I think it was super funny. And also a tad ridiculous.

I now plan on hitting the hay so I can get up early and be productive.
